Welcome! We're glad you're joining one of our events whether it's a wellness walk, cold water dip, men's circle, women's circle, or LGBTQIA+ circle. These gatherings are built on trust, respect, and safety for everyone involved.

Tidy Butt Peaky Climbers Challenge – Participant Waiver & Disclaimer

I understand that my participation in the Tidy Butt Peaky Climbers Challenge is entirely voluntary. I acknowledge that this is a group walking/hiking challenge which will include physically demanding activities, uneven terrain, changes in weather conditions, and prolonged periods of exertion.

I understand and accept that hiking involves potential risks including, but not limited to: slips, trips, and falls; weather-related injuries such as heat exhaustion or hypothermia; blisters, strains, or other physical discomfort; and encounters with wildlife or natural hazards. I acknowledge that I am participating at my own risk and that Tidy Butt, its volunteers, staff, and affiliated organisers are not liable for any injuries, illnesses, loss, or damage sustained during the event.

I confirm that I am physically fit and well enough to take part in this challenge. I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions on the registration form and will carry any necessary medication with me. I agree to notify organisers immediately if I begin to feel unwell or need assistance during the event.

I agree to take full responsibility for my own safety and conduct during the event, including wearing appropriate clothing and footwear, bringing sufficient water, food, and necessary supplies, and following the instructions of event leaders and respecting the group’s pace and route decisions.

I understand that routes and plans may be adapted, shortened, or cancelled at the discretion of the organisers in response to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

I understand that photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotional use by Tidy Butt, including on social media, the website, and in funding reports.

By accepting the T&c's I release, and discharge Tidy Butt, its organisers, volunteers, and partners from any and all liability for personal injury, illness, damage, or loss that may occur as a result of my participation in the Tidy Butt Peaky Climbers Challenge, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Wellness Walks Info
  • Please wear comfortable footwear suitable for uneven ground or changing weather conditions.
  • Bring a bottle of water and dress in layers — we walk in all kinds of weather unless otherwise stated.
  • Arrive on time so we can start the walk together as a group.
  • These walks are a space to slow down, connect, and be present. Feel free to talk, reflect quietly, or simply enjoy the surroundings.
  • Be respectful of others’ pace, space, and experience.
  • If you feel unwell or unable to continue at any point, let the facilitator know.
Cold Water Dip Info
  1. Cold water immersion carries inherent risks, including cold shock response, hyperventilation, dizziness, fainting, and hypothermia.
  2. You must enter the water gradually, follow all safety instructions, and immediately exit if you feel faint, numb, disoriented, or unwell.
  3. This activity is not recommended for anyone with the following conditions (please consult a doctor if unsure):
  • Heart conditions (e.g. angina, heart failure, history of heart attack)
  • High or uncontrolled blood pressure
  • Asthma or other respiratory issues
  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders
  • Raynaud’s disease or other cold sensitivity conditions
  • Diabetes with peripheral neuropathy
  • Open wounds, skin infections, or recent surgery/injury
  • Severe anemia
  • Pregnancy (seek medical advice first)
  • Any condition that may impair your ability to respond to extreme cold or safely exit the water

By participating, you confirm that you are taking part voluntarily, have considered the risks, and take full responsibility for your own health and safety.

A full waiver must be completed before joining — this includes emergency contact details and confirmation of your fitness to participate.

Men’s Circle Info
  • This is a space for men and masc-identifying people to connect, reflect, and support one another.
  • Everything shared in the circle is confidential — please respect each other’s privacy.
  • There’s no pressure to speak. Listening is just as valuable as sharing.
  • We speak from personal experience, using “I” statements instead of giving advice unless it’s asked for.
  • Please arrive on time so we can begin together and avoid disruptions.
  • Respect, openness, and non-judgement are at the heart of the space.
Women’s Circle Info
  • This is a supportive space for women and femme-identifying people to gather, share, and connect.
  • What’s shared in the circle stays in the circle — confidentiality is essential.
  • You’re welcome to speak, listen, reflect, or simply be present — all ways of showing up are valid.
  • We encourage speaking from personal experience and avoiding giving unsolicited advice.
  • Please arrive on time so we can open the space together.
  • The circle is rooted in kindness, mutual respect, and non-judgement.
LGBTQIA+ Circle Info
  • This circle is a space for all LGBTQIA+ identities to connect, share, and be heard.
  • Confidentiality is key — please don’t share anyone’s story outside the circle.
  • You are welcome exactly as you are. There’s no pressure to speak; listening is powerful too.
  • We ask that you speak from your own experience and avoid offering advice unless it’s requested.
  • Please respect the diversity of identities and experiences within the group.
  • Arrive on time if possible, so we can open the space together with care and intention.
